Story Behind the Bag

This tri-fold wooden ruler caught our eye with its imperfections and wear. We love the brass hinges and sliding extensions, once used as a depth gauge. We're thinking 1930s-1940s. Great patina from aging well! We wonder what the full history is of this vintage piece!! We paired it with subtle shades of brass and dark grey pewter.
